In celebration of the re-release of the book
Chameleon, Shaw Harris and Associates with JA
Adams is hosting a cover contest.
Contest Deadline midnight August 30, 2009
Winner announced September 1, 2009
Submission guidelines:
Submit entries to chameleonthenovel@yahoo.com (multiple entries up to three may be submitted by the same artist)
File type: JPEG
Resolution 300+ dpi
Must be original works of art
No nudity
Art must be in good taste
No explicit poses of characters used in art
Characters in art work must be of African American persuasion (major characters in novel are African American)
Art work must depict the concept of the book (see book overview)
Deadline: July 25, 2009 midnight
Submissions not meeting these guidelines will be disqualified
Contestants retain their rights to all art work with the understanding they are submitting their works for a contest.
After the winning artwork for the cover is chosen and winners are notified, all other art work will be deleted from
file. Remember, submissions are via online. The contest will not accept any submissions by any form of delivery
other than e-mail. Winning entry will be posted on this site. Winning artist will be asked to sign a statement that
their work is an original and give JA Adams the right to reproduce the art on the cover of Chameleon and other
promotional materials used to market the novel.
Winner will receive:
Credit given to cover artist on title page
10 high quality 8X10 prints of cover art to use for portfolio and one 11X14 print of cover for personal use
Retain copyrights to art for personal use.
Advertised as cover artist on author's website and all social network sites of JA Adams
